Thursday Evening Meals
Amy Green organizes the Thursday evening meals for the football team. She is asking local churches to sponsor or prepare meals for the boys and needs a few more volunteers. This is a great outreach ministry for your church. They will provide the food and have an opportunity to share a short devotion with our players. If your church, Sunday Class, youth group or Senior Fellowship group would be willing to prepare a meal for the team one Thursday, please contact Amy at 256-245-2184. Please help in this worthwhile project.
Stadium Seats
The stadium seats are in and available for $40 each. Not only are they great looking, but can I add comfortable? Wow, I was buying solely to support the kids – not expecting to ever use it. But when I used mine at the Autauga game I was surprised how well they sat. Let me just say that this big boy fits in it very well. So, whether you are like me and buy one to support the players or you have trouble sitting on bleachers, this is the seat for you. Please call Anita at 205-668-0697 or visit the Spirit Store. There are only 20 more seats available – so be sure you are not left out!! AND just a note – they will be perfect for the basketball bleachers as well as baseball and softball !!
Spirit Store
On Thursdays mornings we will open a Spirit Store in the foyer of the school. Please visit to purchase your Rebel gear. We will have imprinted tee shirts, sweat shirts, car tag frames as well as the opportunity to order specialized wearables. This spirit store will also operate 30 minutes before each home game. Order forms for specialized wearables are available in the office - see Ms. Dianne. Show your school spirit and always wear your CVA Rebel gear.
Spirit Blocks
This is an opportunity for you to make a real difference to the players on our Rebel football team. Spirit blocks are simply the concrete cinder blocks in the boy’s dressing room. For $10 you can write a personalized message of encouragement to your Rebel. This can be a personal message to a single player or a message to the whole team. It could be a favorite Bible verse, motivational statement or something meaningful that is between you and your player. This is not limited to parents, but grandparents, friends, family, church members and/or youth leaders can send their encouragement as well. Contact Tracy Thomaston at 205-404-2445 to get your block today. Don’t let your Rebel go to the wall and not find a message there especially for him!
Quarter Sponsors for Home Games
We need sponsors for each quarter during home games. For $25 per quarter, you can have your message read over the PA system during breaks in the action. This is not limited to area businesses; but also churches, parents, grandparents or friends of Coosa Valley can sponsor a quarter. We also need a parent to step up and coordinate this effort for the Booster Club. If you are willing to take on this task, please call Bo at 205-994-1632 and volunteer.
Game Programs
Programs will be available at home games. Please make sure you get one, two or three. Really, it is okay to buy more than one. You need one to use, one as a souvenir for the year and one because the Cheerleaders selling them are “just so dang cute”.
We need YOU as a Booster Club member
We really need people to join the Booster Club. The Booster Club assists the school in providing competitive sports/cheerleading programs for all to enjoy. The kids involved in these programs learn so much more than the X’s and O’s of the activity. They learn self discipline, they learn to work as a team, they learn confidence and they learn sportsmanship. These are traits that will go with them the rest of their lives. We ask you, those who care about the kids the most, to join in and help provide these kids the best experience possible. Help create memories that they would otherwise have missed without your support. Contact Michelle Cain, the Booster Club Secretary, at 205-821-9004 to become a member of the Coosa Valley Booster Club.
Thanks for all who came down to Autauga to support our Rebels!! What a great crowd. I believe the boys and girls on the field felt out support. We are on the road to Kingwood this week – make your plans now to be there. Their bleacher situation is limited, so get there early for a good seat.
